Guess what I hear a lot?
“I’ve always wanted to try that! I just have to get in shape first.”
It’s true that starting something new is usually a challenge that takes you a bit out of your comfort zone. This is no different, but it IS more accessible and more fun than you think. There’s no short-cut to upper-body strength or the core stability this practice develops, but you get those things by DOING it. It’s my job to make you sure you enjoy the journey on the way to a more powerful body.
Improved flexibility, greater range-of-motion, a strong core, better balance, an able back, and arms that can take our weight- these are things we need to invest in to continue a long and adventurous life. If we don’t put aside the excuses and try something “we’ve always wanted to”, then we will become truly boring old people one day.
